Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has described her nomination for the 2025 Women’s Ballon d’Or as nothing short of miraculous.

The 24-year-old becomes the first African goalkeeper to receive a nomination for the esteemed award.

Her nomination follows standout displays for Paris FC, her former club, and Nigeria.

She played a key role in Paris FC’s Coupe de France Feminine triumph before departing the club in May.

The ex-Rivers Angels keeper was instrumental in Nigeria’s record-breaking 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations victory in Morocco in 2024.

Nnadozie was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

“This is a miracle for me. It proves that all the effort, commitment, and everything I’ve put in over the years has paid off,” Nnadozie shared with BBC Sport.
