Ugo Eaglet

Popular content creator Peter Ugochukwu Okafor, famously known as Ugo Eaglet, has opened up about why his return to Nigeria from Europe marked the turning point in his life.

Sharing his experience on Instagram, Eaglet explained how the staggering expenses of living abroad—from sky-high rents to steep utility costs—pushed him to move back home.

He highlighted that his monthly bills in Austria, including €1,700 for accommodation, €240 for electricity, and €400 for health insurance, were draining his resources.

“The financial strain was unbearable. I’m not against traveling—you have to experience it to know—but if you succeed abroad, consider reinvesting in Nigeria instead of burning money on endless bills overseas,” he advised.

Eaglet emphasized that many men over 50 abroad long to return to their roots but often face resistance from their spouses.

He credited his wife, Jenny Slimzy, for standing by his side during this transition, recalling her words: “Wherever you go, I’ll be with you. Honestly, I’m tired of this place—let’s go home.”

“I’m blessed with an incredible wife—supportive, loving, and wise. Jenny Slimzy is my greatest gift,” he added.

Since relocating, Eaglet has enjoyed a stress-free life, free from the financial pressures he once endured abroad.

He urges Nigerians abroad to explore opportunities at home, concluding, “Returning to Nigeria was my best move this year. Now, I sleep soundly—no more sleepless nights over bills.”
