Oluwanishola Ogudu

Oluwanishola Ogudu, the mother of Wizkid’s eldest son Boluwatife Balogun (Champz), has revealed that she has turned down multiple performance offers for the young talent to ensure his growth remains the top priority.

In a recent post on her X account, Ogudu explained that while she appreciates the overwhelming interest in Champz’s budding career, she believes his development should come before live performances at this stage.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the numerous show invitations Champz has received. However, given his age, we’ve decided to focus on nurturing his skills before stepping into the spotlight. Thank you for your understanding and support,” she shared.

Highlighting their deliberate approach, Ogudu referenced a well-known proverb to emphasize patience in Champz’s journey.

“Just as Rome wasn’t built in a day, we’re carefully laying the foundation for Champz’s future. We’re excited for what’s to come when the time is right,” she added.

Fans were left anticipating new music, as Ogudu teased upcoming projects.

“2026 will bring fresh sounds from Champz—stay tuned for what’s next!”
the post concluded.

Boluwatife, whose musical talents have been showcased in viral freestyle clips, has already made waves with his debut EP, Champion’s Arrival, released in late 2025. His growing fanbase eagerly awaits his next move.
