Nollywood actress-turned-evangelist Tonto Dikeh has boldly declared that no amount of backlash will deter her from proclaiming her faith, stating she would endure mockery—or even death—for her beliefs.
The statement follows intense scrutiny after footage emerged of her leading a spiritual deliverance for a young student at a school in Abuja, Nigeria.
While some applauded her evangelism, others accused her of crossing boundaries, labeling the act as inappropriate and calling for legal consequences.
Addressing the controversy head-on, Tonto took to Instagram with a powerful testimony: “THIS MISSION GOD HAS GIVEN ME IS TOO CRUCIAL FOR DISTRACTIONS.
MY FOCUS REMAINS ON CHRIST—HE NEEDS NO DEFENSE FROM MORTALS.
I, EVANGELIST TONTO DIKEH, WILL FACE MOCKERY, SHAME, OR DEATH BEFORE RENOUNCING MY SAVIOR. I REFUSE TO HIDE MY FAITH FOR MAN’S APPROVAL.
IF NEED BE, I’LL EMBRACE INSULTS AS HONOR AND WEAR PERSECUTION AS A CROWN—FOR HE IS WORTH EVERY SACRIFICE.
LOVE TO ALL—THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE INDIFFERENT.
THIS ISN’T A BATTLE AGAINST ME, BUT A SPIRITUAL WAR. AND WE FIGHT ON OUR KNEES—WHERE TRUE POWER LIES.”
