Boxing legend Mike Tyson has declared his unwavering allegiance to Tyson Fury in a potential heavyweight showdown against Anthony Joshua, admitting his personal admiration for the Gypsy King overrides any support for the Nigerian-British champion.
The revelation comes as both fighters complete their final tune-up bouts ahead of their historic domestic clash, with promoter Eddie Hearn confirming contracts are signed and ready.
Tyson analyzed the potential matchup, suggesting Fury’s preparation and defensive skills could make for a thrilling contest while praising Joshua’s hand speed. However, he emphasized his emotional connection to Fury makes it impossible to cheer against him.
Joshua’s recent victory in Saudi Arabia came after a rocky start that saw him hit the canvas twice within seconds against undefeated Albanian powerhouse Kristian Prenga, who boasted a flawless 20-0 knockout record.
