Manchester United has secured the signing of Bryan Mbeumo in a £71million transfer agreement.

The Cameroonian striker arrives from Brentford on a five-year deal.

United will pay an initial £65m, with an additional £6m in performance-based bonuses.

Mbeumo has committed his future until 2030, with a possible one-year extension, and will join the team for their pre-season tour in the United States.

He expressed his excitement: “Joining Manchester United is a dream come true. I grew up wearing this iconic shirt, and now I have the chance to represent this incredible club.”

“My goal is to improve every day and push my limits. With Ruben Amorim’s guidance and world-class teammates, I believe I can reach new heights here.”

“The project being built here is exciting, and I can’t wait to contribute. We have the squad, stadium, and fans to compete for major trophies.”

United prioritized Mbeumo after a lackluster offensive season, where they netted just 44 Premier League goals.

The 25-year-old started his career at Troyes before joining Brentford in 2019 for £5.8m.

Since then, he has scored 70 goals in 242 appearances, including 20 in the Premier League last season.
