May Yul-Edochie, the embattled ex-wife of renowned Nollywood star Yul Edochie, has taken legal action against U.S.-based influencer Yinka Theisen over accusations of digital harassment and slander.

In a bold legal move, she also initiated proceedings against her former attorney, Emeka Ugwuonye, for his alleged role in disparaging her online.

Through her legal team at Graylaw Partners, she claims both individuals circulated harmful content across prominent platforms, including Instagram, X, and Facebook.

She asserts that the malicious posts have severely damaged her public image, leading to significant setbacks in her professional ventures.

Cease-and-desist notices were dispatched to the accused, mandating the immediate removal of defamatory material, a public apology, and formal retractions across all implicated platforms.

May is pursuing staggering compensation—N1 billion from Ugwuonye for alleged breach of confidentiality and N500 million from Theisen for fueling false narratives.

Her legal complaint against Ugwuonye highlights his misuse of privileged information, exacerbating her distress and exposure to public ridicule.

The letter to Theisen accuses her of instigating online smear campaigns, rallying others to propagate damaging falsehoods against May.

A stringent 48-hour ultimatum was issued for compliance, failing which legal repercussions—both civil and criminal—will be pursued to restore May’s integrity.
