Nigerian entrepreneur and actress, May Edochie, recently unveiled the charming backstory of how she first encountered her now-estranged husband, renowned Nollywood star Yul Edochie.
In an intimate conversation on a trending podcast, May reminisced about their serendipitous meeting before either had achieved stardom.
The accomplished mother of three recounted that their initial encounter took place at a General Certificate Examination (GCE) venue while she was a young university student.
She explained that shortly after relocating from Lagos to attend Enugu State University, she crossed paths with Yul, who was then a student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
“During my university days in the East—I was always immersed in my studies, a true academic at heart. Our meeting wasn’t at some glitzy event but rather at a GCE examination hall,” May revealed with a nostalgic smile.
Looking back, she painted a picture of herself as a fiercely dedicated scholar wholly focused on her education at the time.
