A Nigerian man is speaking out after discovering the woman he had been wooing online was married—but only after he footed a massive restaurant bill on their first date.

In a viral social media clip, the frustrated gentleman recounted how their digital connection turned sour when his date allegedly concealed her marital status until after he had spent nearly ₦60,000 on their outing.

According to his account, the pair had been chatting extensively before meeting, complete with prior financial exchanges when she requested support. But their face-to-face encounter took an unexpected turn when she selected an upscale dining spot and insisted on keeping their meeting public.

“She refused coming straight to my place like normal people do,” he explained. “Instead, she picked this expensive restaurant, walked in before I arrived, and kept ordering dishes like it was her last meal.”
