Emeka Ugwuonye, May Edochie’s attorney, has clarified the co-parenting dynamics between May and her former spouse, Yul Edochie, shedding light on their current arrangement.

In a recent Instagram update, Ugwuonye emphasized that co-parenting isn’t merely a moral duty but a legal necessity for the ex-couple due to their joint parental responsibilities.

The legal expert highlighted that successful co-parenting hinges on mutual collaboration and open dialogue between May and Yul, regardless of their personal rift.

He confirmed that the duo is navigating co-parenting smoothly, with Yul actively funding the children’s education and enjoying unfettered visitation rights.

Ugwuonye stated: “May and Yul share children, making co-parenting unavoidable. Contrary to public frenzy, they’re already making it work. Yul fulfills his financial obligations, covering school fees while maintaining full access to his kids—that’s co-parenting in action. Without communication, effective co-parenting collapses.

“Much of the online debate stems from ignorance—both parties recognize they have no alternative but to co-parent.

“Regarding Judy, she holds no legal ties to May’s children. Unless she formalizes her relationship with Yul through marriage, she remains unrelated to the co-parenting equation.”
