Joseph Aloba, the grieving father of late Nigerian artist Mohbad, has once again ignited controversy with fresh allegations against his son’s widow, Wunmi, in a viral social media video.
The bereaved father made explosive claims, challenging the legitimacy of Wunmi’s marriage to Mohbad and reiterating his demand for a DNA test on the late singer’s son.
In a candid statement, Mr. Aloba disputed rumors of a traditional wedding, clarifying that only an introduction ceremony took place.
“When Cynthia announced her pregnancy, I insisted on meeting her family formally. At the gathering, I noticed many of her relatives present—it was merely an introduction. No bride price was paid, and no wedding occurred. Who received the dowry? This is why I question the marriage claims.”
He further revealed that Mohbad had confided in him about Wunmi’s alleged infidelity, leading to the cancellation of their planned union.
“My son visited me after discovering her betrayal. He told me he couldn’t marry her after what he witnessed. That’s why I’m demanding DNA confirmation—this child’s paternity must be verified.”
