Defender Calvin Bassey believes Nigeria had done enough to claim victory in their international friendly against Poland, despite the match ending in a stalemate in Warsaw.
Bassey highlighted defensive lapses in crucial moments as the reason for the dropped points, with Poland netting twice in the dying stages of each half.
Nigeria took the lead twice—first through Terem Moffi before Kacper Potulski leveled before halftime, and later through Paul Onuachu, only for Przemysław Wiśniewski to stun the visitors with a stoppage-time equalizer.
Post-match, Bassey admitted the team lacked cohesion due to late arrivals in camp but remained optimistic about the valuable game time ahead of upcoming fixtures.
