Nollywood star Laide Bakare has fired back at controversial musician Portable after he publicly ridiculed her on Instagram.
It all started when Portable made disparaging remarks about Bakare in a recent Instagram post.
The singer dismissed Bakare’s claims of wealth and alleged she’s held a grudge against him ever since he turned down an invitation from her.
“You called me to your event but couldn’t pay my fee. Ever since, you’ve been bitter and even mocked my looks,” he said.
“I may not be the most handsome, but you still wanted me there, didn’t you? You called me a ‘dirty boy from Sango,’ and now you’re upset? You started this.
“The only reason we’re clashing is because you’re not as rich as you pretend. If you were, we’d be cool.”
Bakare swiftly clapped back, calling out the singer’s behavior.
“Portable, you need to check yourself. Stop the nonsense,” she warned in a fiery Instagram response.
