Commenting on the transfer battle between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, Erol revealed that David, now a free agent after his Lille deal ended, has rejected proposals from both Turkish sides to pursue a career in Italy’s top flight.

Victor Osimhen

Juventus’ pursuit of Canadian striker Jonathan David may negatively impact Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in his bid to secure a transfer to the Turin-based club.

Turkish football analyst Levent Ümit Erol shared this insight.

Addressing the ongoing transfer negotiations with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, Erol confirmed that David, no longer contracted to Lille, has declined approaches from both Istanbul clubs to focus on a Serie A switch.

“Jonathan David, now unattached after his Lille contract expired, has turned down Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. He’s close to finalizing a deal with Juventus,” Erol stated, as reported by habersarikirmizi.

“Should Juventus secure Jonathan David’s signature, this would effectively rule out any chance of Osimhen moving to Juventus.”

Osimhen enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Galatasaray last season during his loan spell from Napoli.

The Nigerian international scored 37 times in all competitions for Galatasaray, contributing significantly to their league title and cup triumph.

The 26-year-old striker has attracted interest from Juventus, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Galatasaray, and Al Hilal.

However, Osimhen remains undecided about his next club destination.
