Today, she confidently claims the term “queer” and insists she’s never been more at peace with who she is.
Her recent stint on “Celebrity Big Brother” reignited public curiosity about her love life after viewers saw her bond romantically with male contestant Chris Hughes—despite her previous lesbian identity.
Siwa admits the pressure to conform to rigid labels left her feeling trapped.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, she reflected, “At 17, I came out as pansexual because gender didn’t matter to me. But later, I forced myself into the ‘lesbian’ box—partly because of outside influence.”
Surprisingly, she suggests some of that pressure came from within the LGBTQ+ community itself.
“People around me—partners, friends—created this unspoken rule that once you claim a label, you’re locked into it. But s£xuality isn’t fixed. It evolves,” she explained.
Siwa first made waves in 2021 when she publicly came out as a lesbian, earning both praise and scrutiny.
