Fulham’s dynamic midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has etched his name in football history by becoming the first Nigerian player to achieve 300 Premier League appearances.
The milestone was secured during Fulham’s clash with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park last weekend.
Iwobi, now 29, began his Premier League journey with Arsenal in October 2015, making his debut against Swansea City. His career has since spanned three clubs—Arsenal (100 matches), Everton (123 matches), and Fulham (77 matches).
Throughout his 300 top-flight appearances, the Nigerian international has delivered 69 direct goal contributions, including 32 strikes and 37 assists.
He joins an elite group of African footballers to reach this landmark, standing behind only Kolo Touré (353), Mohamed Salah (309), Wilfried Zaha (305), and Jordan Ayew (305).
Iwobi continues to be a pivotal figure for both club and country, showcasing consistency and longevity in one of the world’s most competitive leagues.
