Anthony Joshua, the former world heavyweight champion, recently opened up about the emotional toll of losing two dear friends, describing it as one of the toughest moments in his life.
Earlier this month, a vehicle transporting the boxing star collided with a parked truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The accident tragically killed his longtime personal trainer, Kevin Latif Ayodele, and his strength coach, Sina Ghami, leaving a deep void in his inner circle.
Sharing his grief on his official Facebook page, Joshua expressed how profoundly the loss affected him.
He emphasized that while the tragedy was devastating for him, the pain was even greater for the families of the departed.
Joshua wrote, “Your outpouring of love for my brothers means so much. I never truly grasped how extraordinary they were until now.
“We’d walk together, share jokes, and yet I didn’t fully realize that God had placed me alongside remarkable souls.
“Yes, it hurts deeply, but I can only imagine the suffering of their parents.
“I find strength in faith, trusting that God sees their pure hearts. May my brothers rest in divine peace.”
