Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has shared a positive update following his recent surgery, confirming a successful procedure as he begins rehabilitation.
The Nottingham Forest wing-back sustained the injury during Nigeria’s crucial World Cup qualifying clash against South Africa, with medical staff projecting a three-month recovery timeline.
Through his official social media channels, the 27-year-old athlete acknowledged the overwhelming encouragement from supporters and colleagues.
“The operation was a complete success, and my rehabilitation is progressing well. Counting down the days until my return,” Aina posted.
“Heartfelt appreciation to Nottingham Forest, the NFF, my fellow players, and our amazing fans – your support during this period has been truly uplifting,” he added.
The Premier League star concluded with determination: “I’m fully committed to my recovery program and can’t wait to hear the City Ground roar again. The comeback starts now.”
Before his injury setback, Aina had secured a starting position in Forest’s lineup, featuring in their opening fixtures of the 2024/25 campaign.
