Popular comedian and content creator Lord Lamba has sparked controversy by suggesting that financially independent women are less likely to heed men’s advice.
He expressed this viewpoint in a recent post on X:
“When a woman can handle all her expenses alone, she won’t take direction from you.”
The statement ignited a heated debate online.
One commenter argued: “Financial independence shouldn’t erase respect. A relationship should be about equality, not a power struggle between provider and dependent.”
Another user responded: “True love isn’t tied to finances. A devoted woman will stand by her partner regardless of who pays the bills—it’s about genuine connection.”
Some women countered sharply. A netizen wrote: “If I’m self-sufficient, expecting more than just financial support isn’t unreasonable—it’s called having standards.”
