Afrobeats artist and business mogul, Mr Eazi, has clapped back at a social media user who speculated that he’s seeking to recover wedding costs after marrying billionaire Femi Otedola’s daughter, Temi Otedola.
The exchange ignited when a netizen suggested Mr Eazi’s latest single, ‘Cassanova,’ was an attempt to offset expenses from his lavish wedding.
Amused, the singer fired back, “You think music can cover that kind of wedding, bro? lol.”
Another user chimed in, pointing out that his earnings from 2018 alone could have funded the ceremony.
Replying candidly, Mr Eazi admitted that while 2017-2018 was his biggest career streak, it was also his toughest financial stretch in recent years.
“Fair point, but those two years left me the most broke in the last nine! Still grateful the music blew up like it did though,” he shared.
The couple recently exchanged vows in an intimate Icelandic ceremony.
After proposing in London in April 2022, the duo sealed their love story this year.
Mr Eazi once disclosed meeting Temi through her sister, DJ Cuppy, a longtime friend of his.
