Nigerian Grammy-award-winning artist Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, opened up about his spiritual quest, revealing that despite converting from Christianity to Islam, he has yet to uncover the answers he seeks.
This revelation came during a conversation about faith.
In a recent interview with streamer Playboymax, Burna Boy shared that his deep dive into religious texts has left him more perplexed than enlightened.
“I grew up as a Christian and later embraced Islam. I’ve explored both, but I’m still on a quest to understand the essence of it all. The deeper I dig, the more questions arise,” he confessed.
Burna Boy emphasized that his journey to uncover personal truth and spiritual clarity continues.
This echoes the experience of fellow Nigerian artist 9ice, who earlier this year shared his own spiritual transformation. After enduring a debilitating “spiritual attack” that left him hospitalized for half a year, he turned to the Ifa religion.
