Controversial musician Brymo has reignited discussions on Nigeria’s political future, asserting that the nation must prioritize an Igbo presidency to foster unity and progress.
The outspoken artist, previously criticized for his stance during the 2023 elections, now advocates for national healing, urging Nigerians to transcend historical divisions and embrace inclusivity.
While championing the idea, Brymo acknowledged the obstacles posed by escalating unrest in the South-east, suggesting that political factions nationwide exploit instability as leverage in power struggles.
In a surprising twist, he praised President Bola Tinubu for his role in curbing regional tensions, crediting him with preventing Amotekun from morphing into a secessionist force.
During a candid interview, Brymo emphasized the urgency of an Igbo presidency, calling for collective reconciliation. Yet, he raised concerns about feasibility, pointing to the region’s deteriorating security as a major roadblock.
