Ex-Super Eagles skipper Sunday Oliseh has issued a stern warning to Eric Chelle’s squad as they prepare to face Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16.
Oliseh emphasized that the knockout stage presents an entirely new challenge compared to the group phase, where Nigeria dominated with three consecutive victories.
The Super Eagles were the only team to secure maximum points in the group stage, netting eight goals while letting in four.
“The real tournament begins now—one mistake, and you’re out,” Oliseh stated on his podcast. “Style won’t save you; only results matter. The Eagles must prioritize defensive solidity above all else.”
