Renowned Nollywood star Daniel Etim-Effiong has shared a candid glimpse into his past.

He admitted to briefly indulging in womanizing but emphasized it was a short-lived phase.

The revelation came during a heartfelt conversation with Chude Jideonwo.

The actor, who transitioned from engineering to the big screen, reflected on his younger days of juggling multiple relationships.

He described it as a crucial learning curve that shaped his perspective.

Etim-Effiong now cautions young men against adopting such habits, warning that they can sabotage future relationships and marriages.

Chude probed: “Did you have a history of womanizing before> > > >

Etim-Effiong responded thoughtfully: “It depends on how you define womanizing.”

Chude clarified: “A man who dates several women simultaneously.”

Etim-Effiong admitted: “There might have been a brief period where I fit that description. I wouldn’t say it lasted long—just moments of exploration. So, perhaps.”

Chude asked: “Were those good times?”

Etim-Effiong replied: “They were valuable lessons. If I grew from them, then yes, they were meaningful.”

Chude pressed: “What exactly did you learn?”

Etim-Effiong shared: “I discovered that some experiences don’t deliver the satisfaction you expect. On paper, it seems thrilling, but reality often falls short.

“I often advise young people: being a player might seem exciting, but habits stick. If you cultivate that lifestyle, breaking free won’t happen overnight.

“Don’t nurture behaviors you don’t want to carry into marriage. If commitment feels impossible now, marriage won’t magically fix that.

“When challenges arise, old patterns resurface. If you’re used to walking away or keeping options open, marriage won’t erase those instincts.”
