Nigerian entertainer and activist Mr Macaroni has fired back at APC supporters for dragging him into another social media storm over celebrities mingling with politicians.
In a fiery Twitter thread, the comedian clarified that he’s never judged others for their political affiliations and shouldn’t be treated as society’s moral compass.
“I’ve said this repeatedly—I’m nobody’s hero! I’m far from perfect!! We all have our own choices!” he declared.
He slammed what he called “APC troublemakers” for constantly misrepresenting his views to attack fellow celebrities, despite never criticizing their political engagements.
The skit maker stressed that while he personally avoids political gatherings, that doesn’t make others wrong for attending them.
“It’s about personal preference. Holding people to my standards isn’t fair,” he stated.
Mr Macaroni expressed frustration at how APC loyalists keep involving him in “their endless drama” despite his repeated clarifications.
Amid the controversy, he took time to applaud chess prodigy Tunde Onakoya’s inspiring achievements, encouraging Nigerians to contribute to national progress in their unique ways.
When challenged about his absence from political events, the content creator revealed he’s flooded with invites—“Local, State, Federal levels…”—but consistently turns them down.
“My inbox is packed with invitations! But keep crying—I’ll keep rejecting them all,” he clapped back.
He also questioned why APC supporters target him whenever someone online shows him respect.
“Someone else makes a statement, but I’m the one getting abused… These people are just miserable!!!”
Concluding his thread, he reiterated that he shouldn’t be seen as the gold standard for celebrity-politician interactions.
“Once again, I’m no role model! I’m not perfect! I stand for my beliefs, not public approval. Let this end the discussion…”
