Nigerian football star Ogenyi Onazi has issued a sobering warning about the growing epidemic of intoxicated motorists in Lagos, sharing his own harrowing brush with disaster.
The Super Eagles veteran took to Instagram to reveal he miraculously survived a high-risk collision with two severely impaired drivers just hours earlier. His emotional post included security camera footage showing the heart-stopping moment when the drunk drivers nearly caused a catastrophic wreck.
In his urgent appeal, Onazi called on both government officials and the FRSC to implement stricter enforcement and public awareness campaigns against alcohol-impaired driving. “This could have ended differently,” the midfielder wrote. “We must act before more lives are lost to this preventable tragedy.”
