Renowned social media commentator Daniel Regha harshly criticized the Super Eagles players and their coach, Eric Chelle, following their unconvincing 1-0 win against Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Chelle observed Nigeria’s victory over Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Substitute Tolu Arokorade netted the solitary goal during the second half.
Regha, however, remained unimpressed by the performance, calling Chelle’s team’s showing a complete letdown.
He further claimed Chelle prioritizes results over performance quality.
Posting on X after the match, Regha stated: “The Super Eagles delivered a pathetic performance, scraping past Rwanda with a fortunate goal.
“With elite talent on the roster, Nigeria should dominate rather than exhibit amateurish play.
“If the team struggles now, how will they compete against stronger sides should they qualify?
“The players lack commitment, while the coach appears solely focused on points. No disrespect.”
