The family of legendary Nollywood actress Peju Ogunmola has officially addressed the tragic loss of her cherished son, Ayomikun, dispelling rumors surrounding his untimely passing.
Social media was flooded with grief recently following news of his demise, with unverified claims suggesting he had suffered a fatal incident in a UK bathroom.
In an official statement released by family spokesperson Yemi Amodu, it was clarified that Ayomikun succumbed to a brief illness in Ibadan and has since been laid to rest.
The heartfelt statement reads: ‘’With profound sadness, we announce the transition of our dearly beloved Sola Ayomikun Omobolanle (son of Sunday & Peju Ogunmola Omobolanle), a radiant soul, a treasured son, and a promising talent whose brilliance illuminated countless lives. His departure leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts and the hearts of all who knew him.
“Contrary to baseless online rumors, we categorically state that Sola’s passing had no connection to any bathroom-related incident. He received exceptional medical attention during his brief illness before peacefully returning to his Maker. His final moments were at a medical facility in Ibadan, Nigeria, and he now rests at Eternal Rest Home.
“We vehemently denounce the sensational falsehoods circulating online, particularly those alleging a bathroom accident without assistance. These fabrications not only disrespect Sola’s memory but also inflict additional suffering on grieving family members.
“During this difficult time, we remain deeply touched by the overwhelming support, prayers, and comforting words from relatives, friends, colleagues, and compassionate individuals nationwide. Your solidarity has been our pillar of strength.
“May no family experience the anguish of losing a loved one prematurely. We pray the Almighty grants Sola peaceful eternal rest and gives us all the resilience to endure this irreplaceable loss.”
