Renowned Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has secured another Guinness World Record, this time for crafting the most enormous serving of Nigerian jollof rice ever documented.

 

The prestigious recognition was confirmed through an official announcement on Guinness World Records’ verified X account.

“Breaking Record: Largest portion of Nigerian jollof rice – a staggering 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) prepared by Hilda Baci and Gino in Lagos, Nigeria.” The post read.

 

This culinary milestone unfolded during a dazzling event at Eko Hotels and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, on September 12, 2025.

 

Dubbed the ‘Gino World Jollof Festival featuring Hilda Baci,’ the high-energy gathering captivated food enthusiasts nationwide and sparked viral conversations online.

 

The achievement marks Baci’s second Guinness World Record, having previously claimed the title for the longest individual cooking marathon in 2023.

 

A constellation of Nigerian stars, including Nollywood icon Funke Akindele, influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa, media personality Tomike Adeoye, and Ogun State’s First Lady Bamidele Abiodun, witnessed this historic culinary feat firsthand.
