Renowned culinary expert Hilda Baci is basking in the spotlight once again after securing her second prestigious Guinness World Record certification.
This latest achievement honors her incredible feat of preparing the largest pot of jollof rice ever recorded.
Verified by Guinness World Records, the groundbreaking accomplishment saw her cook a staggering 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of the iconic West African dish during a vibrant Lagos event in September.
The official plaque follows her initial record-breaking triumph in May 2023, where she captivated the world with a 93-hour, 11-minute nonstop cooking marathon.
Now holding two coveted Guinness titles, Hilda Baci solidifies her position as Nigeria’s most accomplished chef in the global record books.
In an emotional post, she shared: “The plaques have arrived!!! Dual records. Dual honors. One incredible journey of determination and destiny. Twice, divine favor shone upon me. Twice, we carved Nigeria’s name in history books — not just any records, but two massive culinary milestones. Partnering with Gino, we achieved something transcendent — a story that inspired billions worldwide, proving what happens when talent meets tenacity. As a double Guinness record holder, I still can’t believe it!”
The ecstatic chef added: “A dual Guinness World Record holder!!! Scripture comes alive: ‘Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion… and everlasting joy will be yours.’ Isaiah 61:7 — this blessing manifests today!”
