Renowned celebrity chef and former Guinness World Record holder for marathon cooking, Hilda Baci, has unveiled her ambitious new venture: crafting a colossal jollof rice dish using 250 bags of rice.

If successful, this culinary feat will secure her another world record—this time for preparing the largest pot of jollof ever made.

Hilda shared the exciting announcement on Monday through a viral Instagram video that quickly captured widespread attention.

Detailing the logistics, the chef revealed she’ll be using a massive 22,619-liter cooking pot to bring this vision to life.

She elaborated, “After careful consideration, I’ve decided to cook 250 bags of premium basmati rice. The custom-built pot measures 6 meters in diameter and stands 1.1 meters tall, with a depth of 1.3 meters. Rest assured, this pot isn’t going anywhere—it’s built to withstand this challenge.”

Scheduled for September 12, 2025, the record-breaking attempt will aim to serve an estimated 10,000 people.

This announcement comes just two years after Hilda’s groundbreaking 93-hour-and-11-minute cooking marathon earned her a place in the Guinness World Records.
