Brain Jotter

Renowned Nigerian comedian Brain Jotter has honored the late music legend Mike ‘Gentleman’ Ejeagha with a heartfelt tribute following his demise.

The iconic artist, famous for his 1983 viral hit ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo,’ succumbed to prostate cancer late Friday.

In an emotional Instagram post, Brain Jotter commemorated their encounter with a nostalgic video clip from his 2024 visit to Ejeagha’s Enugu residence.

Accompanying the post with poignant words, the comedian wrote: “Four decades ago, he created musical gold (Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo). Four decades later, we relived that magic together. Though he’s gone, his legacy plays on. Farewell to a true musical icon.”

Ejeagha’s timeless track experienced a massive revival after Brain Jotter incorporated it into a dance challenge that stormed social media platforms in 2023.

Following the viral success – with 29.1 million Instagram views and 19.6 million on TikTok – the content creator personally delivered a generous N2 million gift to the veteran musician as a token of appreciation.
