Ex-Manchester City stalwart Gareth Barry has suggested that Erling Haaland’s long-term future may lie away from the Etihad, despite the prolific striker’s decade-long contract extension.
Haaland, who joined City in 2022, has been a revelation, but Barry predicts the Norwegian sensation will eventually crave a new adventure beyond the Premier League.
In an interview with GOAL, Barry emphasized the importance of City’s immediate success in retaining their star forward. The club’s ability to maintain dominance in domestic and European competitions could prove pivotal in keeping Haaland from exploring fresh challenges elsewhere.
