Heartbreak and sorrow filled the air as the family of late entrepreneur Martins Ifesinachi Onyekesi, popularly called Fish Magnate, laid him to rest in a somber ceremony.

The burial took place yesterday in his hometown, Eziakpu Village, Ikenga, within Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Onyekesi gained fame as a thriving fish merchant and processor, leveraging social media to promote his business before his tragic demise.

His life was cut short last month after unidentified assailants kidnapped him and later abandoned his lifeless body in a neighboring town, coldly directing his family to retrieve it.

Mourners wept uncontrollably as his casket was gently lowered into the grave during Thursday’s emotional burial rites in Ikenga.

The ceremony was brief yet poignant, attended by Anambra’s Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, who stood in for Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

With minimal speeches, the gathering centered on heartfelt prayers offered by grieving relatives at his final resting place.

His shocking death has sparked outrage, prompting activist Martins Otse (aka Very Dark Man) to lead a protest demanding justice and an end to violence in Anambra.
