
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has awarded six Super Falcons players N10 million each, totaling N60 million.
Assistant coach Ann Chiejine also received N10 million from the governor.
This recognition came after their outstanding performance at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The honored players include Chiamaka Nnadozie, Jennifer Echegini, Osinachi Ohale, Oluchi Oluehi, Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Michelle Alozie.
Uzodinma presented the financial rewards during a reception for the players at the Government House in Owerri.
The Super Falcons secured a thrilling 3-2 victory against Morocco in the WAFCON 2024 final on Sunday.
Additionally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has honored the team for their achievement.
Tinubu granted each player $100,000, a three-bedroom house, and the national title of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
