Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has rewarded the Super Falcons with a ₦50 million cash incentive to boost their morale.

The generous donation came as Nigeria’s women’s national team prepared for their crucial second-leg 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic in Abeokuta.

Governor Abiodun shared the news on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, October 27, after hosting the Falcons at his office in Oke-Mosan.

“It was an honor to welcome the Super Falcons to Abeokuta ahead of their decisive WAFCON qualifier against Benin. Their dedication and excellence deserve recognition, which is why we pledged ₦50 million to support their journey,” he stated.

The governor emphasized that the team’s return to the MKO Abiola International Stadium highlights Ogun State’s commitment to fostering sports excellence.

“Hosting the Falcons again at this iconic venue reaffirms our progress in sports development and infrastructure,” Abiodun added.
