Judikay

Renowned Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has courageously shared her heartbreaking journey of suffering six miscarriages, with the most recent occurring in February 2025.

In an emotional Instagram video, the vocal powerhouse detailed the excruciating pain—both physical and emotional—that followed her latest pregnancy loss, which happened after she had passed the critical first trimester.

She recounted how what began as minor discomfort escalated into an unimaginable tragedy.

“February 2025 brought me to my knees. After crossing the three-month mark, I thought the worst was behind me. Then, out of nowhere, the cramps started,” she revealed.

“At first, I brushed it off—just normal pregnancy aches. But then came the spotting, and my heart sank. Any woman who’s carried a child knows that terrifying moment.

“Then, in an instant, everything changed. What I thought was a routine trip to the bathroom turned into a nightmare—a flood of blood that wouldn’t stop. In that moment, I knew. This was goodbye—again.”

“Six times. Six little souls I never got to hold.”

Judikay explained that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed a D&C procedure after diagnosing a missed miscarriage.

Though she initially put on a brave face, the singer admitted that the nights brought overwhelming sorrow.

“The hospital staff acted quickly—D&C, medications, kind words. But nothing could numb the pain,” she confessed.

“I told everyone I was fine. ‘God is good,’ I’d say. But alone in the dark? That’s when the dam broke.

“I’d scream into my pillow, begging heaven for answers. ‘Lord, why does this keep happening? How much more can I bear?’”

The award-winning artist, famous for uplifting worship anthems like “More Than Gold” and “Songs of Angel: Ndimozi Binigwe,” tied the knot with Anselem Opara in 2020. The couple celebrated the birth of their first child in 2022.
