Renowned Nigerian gospel artist Akinade Ibuoye, popularly known as Gaise Baba, has asserted that consuming alcohol isn’t inherently sinful.
He shared this perspective in a candid discussion on the Blackfame Podcast.
Gaise Baba explained: “Alcohol isn’t sin—it’s a weight. Scripture compares life to a race, urging us to shed anything that hinders our progress. While drinking may not condemn you, it could slow your spiritual momentum. Not everything forbidden leads to damnation, but excess baggage compromises your divine assignment.”
“Many believers mistakenly think salvation is about securing heaven,” he continued. “But Christ already accomplished that. The real question is: why does God keep us here? Our purpose extends beyond personal redemption—He needs Kingdom builders. ‘Well done’ isn’t given for mere belief. It’s earned through impactful service that advances heavenly agendas on earth.”
The gospel musician further emphasized: “Your confession guarantees eternity, but your daily choices determine celestial commendations. God isn’t recruiting benchwarmers—He needs frontline workers who actively fulfill their earthly mandates.”
