A fiery online dispute erupted between Nigerian rapper Zinoleesky and Ghanaian artist Moliy on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, igniting a war of words between their fanbases.
The controversy began when Moliy dismissed speculation about a potential musical collaboration with Zinoleesky in a dismissive tweet.
“Who?,” she replied to the rumored collab announcement, subtly implying unfamiliarity with the Nigerian star.
Her response provoked Zinoleesky, who clapped back by labeling Moliy a “two-hit wonder” and claiming he couldn’t recall her music.
“2 hits wonder… and I don’t even know the 2nd song @Moliymusic,” he fired.
Moliy retaliated, stating she was “happy to stay off his radar” and emphasizing that she associates with globally recognized artists.
“Very grateful to not be known by you, artists that know me aren’t local champions,” she shot back.
The clash led to threats from Zinoleesky’s supporters, who vowed to boycott Moliy’s music in Nigeria.
Moliy boasts a strong international following, with two UK Official Charts and two Billboard Hot 100 entries under her belt.
Her hit track ‘Shake It To The Max Remix’ currently dominates the US Billboard Afrobeats Chart.
