Turkish football analyst Ugur Karakullukçu has revealed details of a tense confrontation between Galatasaray and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis during discussions about striker Victor Osimhen’s potential transfer.
Osimhen, 26, had an outstanding loan spell at Galatasaray after moving from Napoli last season.
The Nigerian forward netted 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions, helping Galatasaray clinch a domestic double.
Despite his impressive performances, negotiations for a permanent deal between Galatasaray and Napoli have stalled.
Discussing the situation, Karakullukçu shared explosive details of the alleged exchange between the clubs.
“During Galatasaray’s delegation visit to Italy for Osimhen talks, the Napoli president [Aurelio De Laurentiis] reportedly told the intermediary on his boat, ‘Tell them I’m not selling to Galatasaray. They should go away,'” Karakullukçu stated (via habersarikirmizi).
“He didn’t exactly say ‘go away’—he used much stronger language. I’m phrasing it politely. This actually happened.”
