Renowned Nollywood star Georgina Onuoha has strongly condemned Senator Ned Nwoko for his recent public statements about his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.
The controversy escalated after Regina underwent a voluntary drug test in the UK, which returned negative results. Despite this, Nwoko publicly claimed she had previously tested positive for drugs in Nigeria.
Onuoha swiftly criticized Nwoko, accusing him of attempting to smear Regina’s reputation. Following his latest remarks—which included private WhatsApp messages alleging misconduct and drug use—Onuoha has once again voiced her disapproval.
She described Nwoko’s actions as “deeply troubling” and unfit for a public figure, stating he requires “psychological intervention far more than Regina does.”
Onuoha further remarked, “His conduct is disgraceful for a man of his stature. His relentless online attacks and smear tactics against a young woman he reportedly began a relationship with when she was just 17 expose textbook narcissistic behavior—obsessed with dominance over another person’s life, decisions, and identity.”
She urged Nwoko to cease his damaging campaign and respect Regina’s autonomy.
In her post, Onuoha wrote: “A man approaching 70 publicly feuding with a 24-year-old—who entered this relationship as a teenager—should raise red flags nationwide. She has evolved, recognized her worth, and chosen to exit a toxic dynamic. Yet, instead of honoring her decision, he persists in vilifying her, branding her a ‘drug addict,’ tarnishing her name, and weaponizing their children to manipulate her return. This isn’t concern—it’s coercion.”
She continued, “Regina willingly took an independent drug test abroad and was exonerated. A genuine addict couldn’t maintain the lifestyle she leads. Acknowledging past missteps doesn’t equate to addiction. Words carry weight—false accusations ruin lives. This pattern is alarming: when a woman asserts her freedom, the backlash follows—intimidation, slander, and psychological warfare.”
Onuoha concluded with a stern warning: “If any harm befalls Regina, accountability must be unequivocal. Senator Ned, step back—she’s made her stance clear. Respect it. Freedom includes the right to walk away. Your smear tactics won’t prevail. While Regina may not pen lengthy rebuttals, countless Nigerians will stand for justice.”
She added, “Your pettiness is glaring. You’re the one in dire need of psychological help, Chinedu.”
