Nigerian comedian and actor Funnybone has encouraged women hesitant about marriage and relationships to avoid allowing negative social media narratives to shape their perceptions of men.
The entertainer advised women to consciously filter their online content, recommending they adjust their algorithms and avoid engaging with posts that fuel fear, resentment, and distrust.
He stressed that judging potential partners based on others’ bad experiences is unfair and counterproductive.
Funnybone highlighted that excessive exposure to toxic relationship stories can distort reality, fostering unnecessary anxiety about love and commitment.
Instead, he suggested focusing on material that encourages self-growth, emotional well-being, and maturity, noting that a balanced digital diet can positively reshape one’s outlook on romance.
“Take control of your feed, ladies. Stop indulging in content that breeds pain, fear, and bitterness. Don’t project someone else’s trauma onto a man who hasn’t even crossed your path.
“Consume media that nurtures healing, progress, and wisdom. Your love story can be beautiful and distinct,” he remarked.
He added that everyone has the power to craft their own narrative, free from past disappointments.
“Stay hopeful—your journey can be brighter. Relax; your chapter will be different and far better,” he concluded.
