Popular Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has playfully addressed accusations from her colleague Funke Akindele, who teased her about allegedly spending public funds on luxury jewelry and high-end fashion accessories.
Badmus, who serves as the Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing for Nigeria’s House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, took the jokes in stride while firmly clarifying her financial independence.
In a widely circulated clip, Akindele humorously quipped, “You spent all the government money on jewelry!” sparking laughter among fans.
Without missing a beat, Badmus responded: “Hold on, your funds aren’t with me o! Everything I wear—from accessories to handbags—is proudly Nigerian and purchased with my hard-earned money.” She emphasized her commitment to supporting local businesses and Nigerian-made products.
