The scheduled funeral arrangements for renowned gospel artist Omije Ojumi have been unexpectedly called off.
Fellow musician Lanre Alewilese shared the update via an Instagram post, revealing unforeseen complications.
Representing the burial committee, Alewilese attributed the cancellation to unresolved family disputes surrounding the late singer’s passing.
“We regret to announce the cancellation of all burial proceedings for our beloved sister, Bunmi Akinnaanu, due to unforeseen family circumstances,” the statement read.
“Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause,” Alewilese added.
Previously, the committee had set January 20, 2026, as the burial date before the sudden change in plans.
