Super Eagles

The Super Eagles’ training base in Uyo is now at full strength as intensivesessions ramp up ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The newly arrived players—Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Raphael Onyedika, Chrisantus Uche, and Victor Osimhen—bring added quality and firepower to the squad.

They link up with earlier arrivals Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers, finalizing head coach Eric Chelle’s selections.

The squad immediately began preparations, conducting their first training session on Tuesday evening, focusing on tactical setups, set plays, and physical conditioning.

A follow-up session is planned for Wednesday as Chelle aims to enhance teamwork and seamlessly incorporate all players.

Osimhen’s clinical finishing boosts the attack, while Chukwueze’s explosive speed and flair add a creative spark on the flanks.

Arokodare offers adaptability in forward positions, Onyedika strengthens midfield control and transitions, and Uche provides further depth in central roles—equipping Chelle with a versatile squad ready for any tactical approach.

The full-strength Eagles will first host Rwanda in Uyo before traveling to Bloemfontein for a clash with South Africa.

With Group C qualification at stake, Nigeria must secure all available points to solidify their position and edge closer to the 2026 World Cup.
