Media personality Daddy Freeze has broken his silence on the heated custody battle between Afrobeat star Davido and his ex-partner, Sophia Momodu, over their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
In a recent revelation, Freeze disclosed that a source connected to the legal team involved in the case reached out to express concerns over the intense online criticism they’ve faced since Davido openly criticized them.
While condemning any form of bullying or harassment, Freeze emphasized that the controversy exposes flaws within Nigeria’s judicial framework, where aggressive legal tactics are often employed without restraint.
He further recounted his own encounters in court, where personal insults and harsh language were used as strategic maneuvers, raising ethical concerns about legal professionalism.
Freeze particularly criticized the alleged introduction of deeply personal and painful subjects—such as references to Davido’s tragic loss of his son—during legal arguments, calling such methods distasteful and counterproductive.
He concluded by pointing out that while courtroom victories may be temporary, public perception, shaped through social media, often dictates the ultimate verdict in the eyes of society.
