Nollywood star Frederick Leonard has launched legal action against filmmaker Stanley Ontop, charging him with persistent defamation and character assassination.

In a formal petition submitted to the Delta State Police Command through his attorneys, Uche Okoro & Co, Leonard claims Stanley has engaged in a two-year campaign of false allegations designed to damage his reputation.

The January 28, 2026 petition further contends that Stanley systematically spread harmful misinformation to manipulate public perception against Leonard.

Issuing a stark warning, Leonard declared on Instagram alongside the legal documents: “Justice will be served.”

His caption read: “Stanley Chibueze Ajemba (aka Stanley Ontop), consider this your official notice. The wheels of justice are turning. First you, then others.”

“Make no mistake – baseless claims require proof. And I’m coming for mine.”
