Nollywood star Kunle Remi has paid a touching homage to the late director Kayode Peters on his posthumous 50th birthday.
Peters, a celebrated figure in Nigerian cinema and theater, succumbed to a long-term illness in Toronto, Canada, and was laid to rest on August 2, 2025.
In a moving tribute on Instagram, Remi posted a picture of Peters, reflecting on their bond and sending heartfelt prayers to his grieving family, particularly his spouse, Alexis, and their young ones.
“Happy 50th in eternity, King KP. The memories we created will forever be cherished.
“Our love and support are with your loved ones. Alexis and the children will always have us,” he penned.
Remi also touched on recent events, including the persistent Lekki flooding, his upcoming movie roles, and his experiences as a new father, vowing to recount these moments “when we reunite someday.”
The emotional post resonated deeply with fans and peers, including filmmaker Moses Babatope, who praised Remi for keeping Peters’ memory alive.
Peters, who passed at 49, was a visionary whose work profoundly influenced Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.
