Renowned Nigerian artist and social critic, Falz, has openly challenged President Bola Tinubu’s administration over its perceived lack of tangible achievements.
In a hard-hitting critique, the rapper highlighted the stark contrast between the government’s promises and the worsening conditions faced by ordinary Nigerians.
Falz didn’t mince words, stating that poverty levels have surged rather than diminished since Tinubu took office, leaving citizens grappling with unprecedented hardships.
During a candid interview with Arise TV, the outspoken entertainer declared: “Let’s be honest—we’ve regressed instead of moving forward. The glaring lack of development speaks for itself.”
He also took a swipe at the President’s famous campaign mantra, “Emilokan” (It’s My Turn), questioning its real-world impact.
“We all remember ‘Emilokan.’ But what exactly was the plan? Nigerians are still waiting for results,” he quipped.
With two years remaining in Tinubu’s term, the activist-artist left room for cautious optimism while emphasizing the pressing need for action: “Maybe there’s still a hidden blueprint, but right now, the scorecard is empty.”
True to form, Falz continues to use his platform to demand accountability from Nigeria’s leaders.
