Renowned Nigerian filmmaker Biodun Stephen has called out young Nigerians who exploit social media to promote explicit content under the guise of “catching cruise.”
Biodun recounted watching a viral video where three young women eagerly debated which of them would “give the best bl*wjob,” who would “get wet,” who might “have an ab*rtion,” or who would engage in a “threesome.”
She noted how animated the ladies were while answering, only to dismiss it later as mere entertainment—claiming they were just “catching cruise.”
Frustrated by their justification, Biodun fired back: “Stop it! What does ‘na cruise’ even mean? You’re chasing clout, views, and likes? You’re disrespecting your heritage and ruining your future—the internet doesn’t forget.”
“I have daughters, and I sent them those videos. Every day, I remind them never to humiliate me this way. Shame, we need you back because you’ve left us.”
“On behalf of society, we apologize, Shame. Please return! Humanity is lost without you.”
